These adorable fabric pumpkins are so festive and easy to make! They can be for indoors or outside depending on your fabric choices. Switch up the sizes and colors for variety! I was inspired by this craft from marthastuart.com and just put my own spin on it. So in love with how they turned out!
What You Will Need:
- Sewing machine – This is for Step 1 only (or you can hand stitch this part)
- Needle
- Heavy duty thread (for hand stitch steps)
- Scissors
- Thick jute string (for the stem)
- Glue gun
- Fabric (any size- you want the width to be twice the length of the height) For my two pumpkins I used 5X10 and 10X20.
- Batting
- Yarn or thick string
Step 1
Fold the fabric so that the two short ends meet and sew.
Step 2
With a needle and heavy duty thread, stitch one of the open ends, pull to gather and tie off.
Step 3
Turn the piece right side out and fill with batting.
Step 4
Hand stitch around the open end and pull together to gather.
Step 5
Wrap yarn or thick string around the pumpkin to create ridges.
Step 6
With a glue gun, secure a piece of jute string for the stem.
